Artist and Yoga Instructor
What's in a Name?
I worked as a teacher in schools in the areas of deaf education, special education, and art education for nearly ten years. After my daughter was born, I decided to make art creation and yoga instruction my career to be more present for my family; making this leap is the happiest decision I've ever made. I am so grateful for the new peace I have found.
Art has always been my first love. I paint nearly every day with work ranging from miniatures to mural designs. I create paintings with media including watercolor, acrylic, ink, and colored pencil. I love to use vibrant colors and light, and I hope my work can offer the viewer little worlds that provide a sense of joy and mindfulness. I am happy to collaborate and take custom orders of any size and subject. I hold a lifelong art education license (K-12) in the state of WI earned through Concordia University's graduate teacher certification program (2018) and a minor in visual fine art from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2011).
I have been practicing yoga since 2007 and teaching yoga since 2013. I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program at the former Kanyakumari Ayurveda and Yoga Center in Milwaukee, WI and an additional certification program in the area of pre/postnatal yoga through Yoga Education Institute.
